Job Requirements Education/Training: B.S. preferred 5+ years? experience in IT Minimum 5 years experience designing and developing on Tandem Non-Stop systems 5+ years SQL programming experience. 5+ years COBOL/Mainframe coding, compiling, and troubleshooting experience/exposure. 5+ years JCL programming experience/exposure. 2+ years? experience in VB .NET or other .NET Language (preferred) Ability to gain experience in multiple technical areas over time Incident and problem management experience Strong analytical and communication skills Schedule: This position has core work hours on day shift (roughly 8am-5pm Central time, Monday through Friday). However flexibility is needed for work hours for this position and are subject to the needs of the business. Sometimes you may be working on something critical that takes you past your planned work hours. Schedule variances are part of the job, which may include covering other shifts or weekends, holiday support rotation, the occasional need to cover split-shifts, and a rotating responsibility as an escalation person. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE COBOL, SCOBOL, SQL, TMF, TACL, DDL, Pathway, and Guardian OS PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Netbatch, TAL, FTP, RMS, XML, Golden Gate, Tibco, MS Office suite (Word, Excel, etc) 5 Years of progressively responsible experience in systems development, application planning, analysis, design and life cycle development. Career concentration in Financial or Warehouse Management Systems development Previous experience troubleshooting complex application and system related problems Skilled at managing multiple priorities with demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of Business and IT groups including management Ability to negotiate acceptable solutions to complex problems across multiple business and/or technical areas and vendors Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively and efficiently Demonstrated ability to mentor and work well in team, and end-user community Ability to effectively self manage working independently via technical specification Strong analytical skill capable of understanding and documenting business processes and functional requirements | |
