JobsRUs.com. is seeking to hire a Senior Lab Technician for our client in San Diego, CA! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $30.21/Hour Start Time (AM/PM) 8:00AM End Time (AM/PM) 5:00PM This position is NonExempt. Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half. Conducts chemical and physical laboratory tests and makes qualitative analysis of materials, liquids, and gases. May also set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for the tests, research or process control. Must possess diploma or degree at the Associate or Bachelor level and 1+ years experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Support the manufacturing of plastic disposable IVD consumables. Use various types of manufacturing equipment such as heat stakers, liquid dispensers, ultrasonic welders, and labeling machines. Maintain manufacturing equipment along with providing input for supporting documentation such as SOPs and Work instructions. Perform various testing both on the manufacturing line and in the lab to confirm quality parts are being fabricated. Provide input to the engineering team on areas of improvement in both assembly processes and design. Maintain detailed notes and documentation of build process and maintain inventory of components. May write experimental reports, summaries, and protocols. Perform troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and consumables REQUIRED High School diploma or GED. BS in Engineering or closely related field is preferred but not required. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities. PREFERRED Hands on manufacturing experience especially within the IVD diagnostic industry a plus Hands on experience with maintenance of manufacturing equipment a plus. You will provide support in manufacturing plastic disposable IVD cartridges and support the testing of these cartridges to ensure quality parts are manufactured. This is not a typical lab position-will be working in a lab environment, but more of a mfg technician role-HS Diploma/GED and previous tech/mfg/lab experience. BS is a plus, but not required for this role. If candidates have Hands-on manufacturing experience especially within the IVD diagnostic industry is a plus Hands-on experience with maintenance of manufacturing equipment is also a plus Will be working within a Pilot station putting together and testing of Infectious Disease Detection Device. Focus on candidates with Medical Device and Assembly/Mfg experience in like type working environments Will be hand assembling and testing equipment Will perform various testing both on the mfg line and also in the lab to confirm quality parts are being fabricated. HS Diploma or GED-plus 1+ years Mfg/assembly experience Provide input to the engineering team on areas of improvement in both assembly processes and design Maintain detailed notes and documentation of build process and maintain inventory of components May write experimental reports, summaries, and protocols Perform troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and also consumables Interview process: 1) Phone screening; 2) Onsite-in person interview Top 3 skills Working with Medical Devices-assembly of small diagnostics Experience with Mfg Equipment and hand assembly Ability to follow procedures and quality procedures and instructions |
