JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Accounting Coordinator for our client in Newport News, VA! Pay rate: 24.24 Job Description: Short term need. Processing invoices (utility bills, Insurance bills, real estate taxes, maintenance bills, researching statements, desktop CAM audits, Following up on documentation. Attention to Detail 1-3 years of Accounting Experience Basic knowledge of Excel Understanding of working in different softwares Good written and verbal communication Understanding of lease language a plus Real estate payables In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management within the scope of department/business objectives. Work Related: Process lease payables such as: utilities, building repairs/preventative maintenance, insurance, real estate tax Ensure expenses charged to Ferguson are in compliance with lease clauses Complete desktop audit of landlord reconciliation statements Communicate and follow up with transaction managers and landlords on additional information needed; assess materiality and recommend action for additional audit recovery Input and maintain information regarding lease expenses and financial accounting transactions Tracks payables and receivables associated with leases in portfolio. Prepare export files and send to accounting for payables processing Other: Ability and willingness to vary hours and work overtime as necessitated by business needs Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Demonstrate reading comprehension and ability to follow directions Exhibit literacy in drafting correspondence and other forms of written communication Able to perform basic math functions Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Demonstrate knowledge in performance of basic level commands in Microsoft Excel Willing to work in a productivity-driven environment with a high volume of workflow Strong 10-key and/or Alpha-Numeric data entry skills which includes both speed and accuracy General knowledge of Accounts Payable process preferred Proven track record in the customer service arena Strong communication skills; both oral and written Analytical and detail-oriented Dependable and reliable PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS: Audit assigned locations within specified timeframe Consistent demonstration of a positive attitude, a willingness to adapt, and enthusiasm to work as part of a team Regular attendance within the parameters of the department schedule and the policies of Real Estate and Facilities Development, while minimizing unscheduled time off |
