JobsRUs.com is seeking multiple experienced food production Machine Operators with at least two year of prior industrial food manufacturing experience for one of our clients located in Hayward! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! Pay Rate: $22.50 Shift: 10 p.m. - 6:15 a.m. Days: Monday - Friday and Saturdays as needed Overview: You will be responsible for change-over, set-up, operation of, monitoring, and adjustments to a variety of bakery equipment on a particular production line including depositors, conveyors, ovens, and cooling conveyors. Although this position is a machine operator, please realize the machinery is not doing all of the work and up to half of your shift may involve physical work including lifting of up to 55 lbs. You will be expected to follow all company, safety, food safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures. Job Duties: ? Sets-up, calibrates, operates, and monitors proper settings of food production equipment to ensure that the equipment operates according to product specifications and standard operating procedures. ? Inspects equipment to ensure that they are in proper working condition. Reports any equipment damage, missing parts, mechanical problems, or suspicious conditions to Production Lead or Supervisor immediately. ? Troubleshoots minor operational issues that may occur with machine and performs autonomous preventive maintenance tasks. ? Ability to keep up with production needs while operating machinery, and working in various capacities during the shift. ? Strictly follows production processes and work methods. ? Follows company?s GMP and other food safety and quality requirements. ? Reports any food safety or quality issues including suspicious product or conditions to Production Lead, Supervisor, and/or QA. ? Reports any safety issues viewed within or beyond working area such as standing water, ingredient spillage or leaks to Shift Lead or Supervisor. ? Ensures that equipment is properly shut down at the end of the production run. ? Keeps work area clean and organized. Performs general cleaning of work area and equipment. ? Other Duties as assigned. Requirements: ? At least 2 years of prior Machine Operator manufacturing experience in an industrial bakery or food manufacturing facility. ? Must be familiar working with Programmable Logic Computer?s (PLC?s) and have previous knowledge with touch screen interface. ? Good mechanical troubleshooting skills. ? Experience with Robotic systems a plus. ? Must be able to run and operate multiple pieces of equipment at the same time. ? Must be able to listen to details and follow instructions given. ? Must be a team player and ability to work in a multicultural environment. ? Must be able to learn quickly and readily to adapt to changes required by department. ? Must be able to read, understand and follow Standard Operation Procedures (SOP?s). Minimum Education: ? High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. ? Basic algebra and problem-solving skills ? Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently. Minimum Admin Skills Basic computer skills, including the ability to use a keyboard to enter data into Excel spreadsheets. Minimum Physical Requirements: ? Must be able to lift and push to 55 lbs. ? Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask. ? Must be able to remain standing for long period of time. ? Able to work weekends and overtime (as needed) ? Must be on time for work.
