JobsRUs.com is seeking a Food Production Batch Mixer (Bakery) for one of our clients located in Hayward! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! Pay Rate: $19.00 Shift: 10:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. Days: Monday - Friday and Saturdays as needed Overview: The Mixer prepares and produces batter and dough mixes following recipes and standard operating procedures. Follows all company, safety, food safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures. Job Duties: ? Must work at an efficient and consistent pace to keep up with production needs while operating machinery, scales, and working in various capacities and/or positions. ? Must record daily production reports accurately. ? Follow company?s GMP and other food safety and quality requirements. ? Performs scale and flow meter verification. ? Inspects ingredients before use. Reports any quality issue or discrepancies in ingredient packaging/ labeling to Production Lead or Supervisor immediately. ? Checks equipment settings during start-up and changeovers to ensure the correct programs are used. ? Performs and records quality checks to document ingredient temperatures, batter specific gravity, and raw weights. ? Reports to Production Lead and/or Supervisor any safety issues viewed beyond his/her working area, such as standing water, ingredient spillage and/or leaks. ? Performs general cleaning/ sanitation of equipment and his/her work area. Keeps his/her work area clean and organized. Requirements: ? At least 1 yr of experience as a batch Mixer in an industrial food production environment strongly preferred. ? Must be able to read and calculate basic math problems/unit conversion for recipes. ? Basic computer skills, including the ability to use a keyboard to enter data into Excel spreadsheets. ? Must be able to read, speak and understand written and verbal English. ? Must be able to learn quickly and be able to adapt to changes required by production. ? Must be able to read, listen to and follow detailed instructions. ? Must be able to work with and get along with others. ? Must be able to work in a multicultural environment. ? May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Physical Requirements: ? Must be able to push or lift 55 pounds frequently, work entire shift while standing. ? Able to work weekends and work overtime (as needed). ? Must be punctual in arriving to work.
