Weekly Pay! $17.50/Hour Shift Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm OT is being offered right now Overview: Working primarily in shipping with potential additional responsibilities in material handling, the Water Spider plays a key role in Lean manufacturing, maintaining a constant presence on the production floor. Responsibilities include monitoring stock supplies, replenishing as needed, communicating shortages to management, and supporting overall work system optimization. NOTE: Candidates from the fast-food industry are preferred for their speed and accuracy. Do not consider candidates with heavy forklift or logistics backgrounds. We seek individuals with strong computer skills, multitasking ability, shipping experience, problem-solving capability, and effective teamwork. Position Summary: Responsible for routine product support duties following well-defined procedures in parts identification, shipping, receiving, warehouse, stock handling, and parts handling. The position requires close supervision, detailed instruction, and training. Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions: PARTS IDENTIFICATION: Identify parts using proper methods and equipment indicated by the pick list, WIP, blueprint, or customer requirements. SHIPPING: Prepare parts and/or materials to ensure safe handling for shipment, including necessary paperwork. Prepare packaging per specifications for shipment, including computer input for labels. WAREHOUSE: Check and identify parts by type or part number. Prepare parts for storage, placing stock in the proper location as directed. Select parts from stock to fill orders according to parts lists. Maintain and access necessary records using a computer. If applicable, execute some advanced CICS functions. PARTS HANDLING: Following route/route sheet instructions, move parts between functions or teams using a forklift or other moving devices. Package or repackage parts to prevent damage during movement or handling. Request and stage tooling required to support team schedules. Audit material storage areas to support inventory accuracy. Secondary Responsibilities/Non-Essential Functions: Maintain knowledge and ability levels to efficiently perform all assigned work and adapt to new/unfamiliar assignments. May be required to assist in sub-assembly area. Observe all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Maintain satisfactory performance. Actively participate in lean/continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions for improvement. Apply lean concepts and tools in work areas. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and 0-1 year product support or related experience or demonstrated ability to perform described position responsibilities. Able to implement and effectively apply lean/continuous improvement initiatives. Effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities. Able to use job-specific software applications. Communicate effectively with co-workers about work product and processes, read and understand written instructions, procedures, forms, and specifications. Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. For Client employees in this position, participation in and completion of Powerlift Operator Training Program (forklift) is required. Perform basic mathematical operations. May be required to operate moving equipment and saw equipment and meet OSHA safety qualifications. | |
