Are you looking to join a great manufacturing company in VT with growth opportunities? Our client is looking for a Mechanic/Tool Maker to join their team in Fairfax. As a Mechanic/Tool Maker you will be a part of an integral team and the goal is to ensure effective production while remaining focused on quality. The mechanic's goal is to ensure machinery are holding their products within specifications as well as maximizing the uptime of machinery. Overview of the Mechanic/Tool Maker role ? Preventative machine Maintenance ? Troubleshoot/Fix equipment & process problems ? Source parts needed for equipment ? Manufacture parts for equipment (when possible) ? Keep updated record of work performed Who makes a good Mechanic/Tool Maker ? Keen eye for detail ? Lift up to 60 pounds ? Able to read micrometers, calipers, etc. ? Knowledgeable in use of use surface grinder, knee mill, lathe ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ? Previous forklift experience ? Completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset ? Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical is a plus What to know about this Machine Operator role ? Weekly Pay ? Day Shift Hours: 7AM ? 3:30 PM ? Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23.00 | |
