Weekly Pay! $180.00/Hour Shift: M-F 8-5 We are seeking a candidate with at least 7-10 years of experience with a strong core infrastructure background. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with a primary focus on Core Datacenter routing and switching. While expertise in edge routing, switching, and wireless networks is critical, the role extends to encompass various responsibilities to ensure the optimal functioning of our network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Standards Development: Develop and maintain technical standards based on industry-best practices. Create and manage system configuration documentation, physical and logical diagrams, knowledge base articles, and runbooks. Facilitate the smooth transition of services to external managed service providers by adhering to established standards. Documentation and Auditing: Build, maintain, and audit documentation related to policies, standards, processes, procedures, topologies/diagrams, configurations, training, service records, support contacts, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery. Automation and Scripting: Develop and execute automation playbooks to implement "Software Defined Networking" through scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools like Cisco DNA Center, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Terraform Cloud for Business. Provide knowledge transfer and training on automation techniques to teammates and other functional areas. Network as Code: Utilize modeling tools such as 'Cisco Modeling Labs (CML)' to build networks as code, deployable via CI/CD pipelines. Life Cycle Management: Manage software and hardware upgrades, EOL/EOS refresh, and security patching as part of life cycle management according to established policies and standards. Performance Monitoring and Remediation: Proactively identify and remediate network performance issues. Act as an escalation point to review and resolve technical issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Tier 3 Technical Expertise: Provide Tier 3 technical expertise and support. Act as an escalation point for the IT Service Center and Managed Service Providers to review and resolve technical issues through completion. Qualifications: Proven experience in Core Datacenter routing and switching. Strong background in edge routing, switching, and wireless networks. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (Cisco DNA Center, Ansible, Terraform). Experience with network modeling tools like 'Cisco Modeling Labs (CML)'. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to act as a technical leader within the team.
