Pay Rate - $40-50/hr 1st Shift: 7:30am-4:30pm Job Description Successful applicant will be working onsite day shift hours supporting Manufacturing Engineering at the Engine Plant in Seymour, Indiana. This role will provide technical support to the Manufacturing & Quality teams with a focus on PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) & Control Plan documentation using various existing design and process related histories, documents, or production data. Role responsibilities include: ? Possess strong familiarity with PFMEA & Control Plan methodologies. Reference the manual published by Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG). ? Utilize FMEA process following the Process FMEA guidelines (reference AIAG 4th ed. or AIAG/VDA FMEA manual as pertinent) and internal procedures/requirements. ? Research and investigate the design, functionality, operation, and assembly of the engine platform this project will support. ? Read engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints. ? Be proficient using computer applications related to the engineering field. ? Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor. ? Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and lead cross functional groups to develop PFMEA and Control Plan documents. This person will have primary responsibility for the tasks while others contribute, share knowledge, and will coach/mentor about existing processes and documentation. ? Communicate with team and manager regularly to drive project deliverables. ? Recommend and develop changes to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability to reduce RPN?s. Skills ? Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement. ? Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. ? Education, Licenses, Certifications Education/Experience should include: ? Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferred. Require 10+ years? experience in a relevant process manufacturing environment ? Strong history with manufacturing processes, documentation, PFMEA, and Process Control Schedule: ? This role may be eligible for 40 hr work week (part time) pending candidate availability. Must Haves: * 1) PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and Control Plan subject matter expertise is critical. This person must be able to lead a team to develop a PFMEA and Control Plan from scratch. * 2) Understanding of controlled documentation and documentation release processes. * 3) Able to independently observe, learn, understand, and review manufacturing process to aid in development of PFMEA / Control Plan documents. * 4) Team Work. Must be able to perform this work independently while also interfacing with a team as needed for documentation development. Education: Bachelors preferred in an Engineering field. Degree can be optional based on years of service in relevant fields for manufacturing. Experience: 10+ preferred so that the skills needed are cemented in their work experience. |
