(8-hour day)M-F Our client, a leading player in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Technician Assembly for an exciting opportunity in Shakopee, MN. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge fiber optic technology. Job Description: As a Fiber Optic Technician Assembly, you'll play a vital role in our client's prototype laboratory, working closely with the Engineering Department. This hands-on position involves building and assembling items, interpreting drawings, and utilizing your expertise in fiber optic technology or electrical circuitry. If you're passionate about technology and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this opportunity is for you! Top Must-Haves: . Experience in building items and operating small machines . Proficiency in computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word) . Knowledge and experience in transposing drawings . Ability to lift up to forty pounds when required Nice to Have: . Previous experience with fiber optic technology . Experience with ERP systems Work Schedule: Flexible 6-8 a.m. start time (8-hour day) Monday to Friday, no travel required Qualifications: . Proficient in computer operations including file management and email correspondence . Familiarity with interpreting drawings, schematics, and work orders . Skilled in working with small, intricate items and hand tools . Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adhere to safety protocols . High school diploma or equivalent education Preferred Experience: . Previous experience in fiber optics or electrical circuitry . Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP . Knowledge of measurement tools and inventory control . Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams . Ability to lift or push up to forty pounds | |
