Salary: $100-130,000/year Full-time Direct hire position As a General Manager you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a food service department to ensure that customers and clients never miss a meal. The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the cafeteria, restaurant (fine dining Michelin Star restaurant) and catering/event departments. Experience: - At least 5+ years of experience coordinating food service operations. - Has experience in multiple disciplines; fine dining, retail (cafe), catering and quick service management experience required. - Experience managing large teams, including multiple department heads. Overall staff of 150; 10-12 managers. - Strong focus on people & culture. Creating a positive and healthy work environment for all. - Has extensive food & beverage knowledge including; French cuisine, French & American Wines, and Craft beers & Cocktails. - Willing and ability to work the required flexible schedule of nights, weekends, and holidays. - Previous experience with high volume locations. - Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives. - The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction. - Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications. - ServSafe and/or HACCP certification; preferred Job Duties include but not limited to: - Responsible for working with the management team to increase guest counts and to develop a loyal guest base. - Work with the Directors and their clients to help develop a marketing strategy which works for the operation. - Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the staffing of the operation, from a management level through hourly positions. - Recruiting & Hiring-Establishing and maintaining appropriate staffing levels and remaining abreast of any changes which may impact staffing needs. - Use of pre meals and departmental meetings as necessary to move training to the next level. - Completing yearly performance reviews of all management staff. - Ensuring that performance reviews of all hourly employees are completed yearly - Maintaining accurate employee files. - Responsible for having a strong financial performance for the health of the operation and the company. The GM needs to ensure the operation meets and exceeds budgeted financial goals. - The General Manager is responsible for ensuring that the operation is operating at or above our standards. The operation should offer competitive service, food, beverages and environment in a warm and friendly atmosphere. - Plant Equipment Management - The General Manager is responsible to work with our clients on the daily upkeep of all food and beverage venues at the location. - Daily walk through of the operation to determine areas which need attention or repair. - Maintaining good standing Client Relations is essential to our business overall success. - The GM will work directly with our clients to communicate our needs as well as ensure the Client needs are being maintained and/or exceeded. Our expectation is that the GM meets regularly with their clients to keep them abreast of all aspects of the business and performs Quarterly Client Reviews, to outline our financial and operational results.
