JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire 2 Warehouse Workers for our client in East Hartford! Weekly Pay! $17.00/Hour Shift: 3 PM to 11 PM As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. You will also handle counter sales, maintain cleanliness in the warehouse, and ensure quality assurance activities are performed. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES . Handle all incoming shipments. . Verify purchased products and enter order receipts into computer system. . Perform quality assurance inspections when necessary. . Store the received material in the appropriate location in the warehouse after segregating backorders. If required, relocate and consolidate the material and inform the management of the new location. . Pack, label, and weigh materials for shipment, including assembling and holding orders. . Prepare bills of lading and express receipts. . Assist in loading trucks. .Prepare delivery records and fill out applicable blocks on the pick ticket. . Keep the necessary forms pending the return of the material. . Check the condition of returned material before completing return authorization forms. . Pull stock and return it to the correct location, which is pending credit memo, sale, or return to the supplier. . Maintain a clean warehouse and trucking/parking area. . Assemble and disassemble bins, racks, shelves, and tables as required. . Administer preventative maintenance programs to delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safe practices for warehouse operations. . Record verbal/written complaints from customers about dissatisfaction with the product or service provided. Process the complaint by responding to the customer with the action taken to correct the problem or directing the complaint department supervisor/manager where necessary. . Maintain counter stock as needed. . May assist with over-the-counter sales. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION High School Degree or Equivalent SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS 1. Basic computer skills WORKING ENVIRONMENT Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Generally well-ventilated and well-lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work is physically strenuous, and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds. Employees are required to use hand tools. | |
