Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Pay: $28.00 per hour Shift: 2nd Shift, Mon - Fri, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Some Saturdays required based on workload demand) Location: Hicksville, NY, must be within a 20 minute drive. Steel Toe Shoes Required Special Machines to Operate: Manlift, Power and Hand Tools Only! Job Description: The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in performing various skilled maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks in and around facilities and manufacturing equipment. The essential functions include diagnosing problems, determining the extent of repairs or adjustments needed for equipment, maintaining, adjusting, repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling equipment. Responsibilities: ? Diagnose problems and determine the extent of repairs or adjustments needed for equipment. ? Maintain, adjust, repair, rebuild, and overhaul equipment. ? Enter repair orders and maintain accurate maintenance records in an automated system. ? Organize, clean, and maintain the workshop area. ? Operate special machines such as a manlift, power tools, and hand tools. Qualifications: ? Able to read and understand maintenance and specification manuals. ? Follow oral and written instructions. ? Capable of preparing work orders and records of service performed. ? Communicate and work effectively with all associates. ? Physical dexterity and ability to perform preventive maintenance on complex equipment. Physical Requirements: ? Standing for the entire shift. ? Regular lifting up to 50 lbs. ? Exposure to noise typical of a production environment for the entire shift. ? Working around moving equipment regularly. ? Working in hot/cold temperatures regularly. Additional Requirements: ? Steel-toed shoes are required. ? Due to onsite safety, all candidates must be fluent and able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
