JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Warehouse Associate for our client in Torrance, CA! Pay rate: 17.25 - 19.00 Mon - Fri 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Steel-toed shoes required 30 minutes unpaid lunch Position is for a material handler supporting 29 vending machines in a manufacturing environment. They would be responsible for restocking all the tools with in each vending machine daily. Duties include receiving, cycle counting, stocking, maintenance and light clerical work such as issuing orders, sending out emails to expedite orders/requesting status on orders with vendors. Material handler will be responsible for spot buy receiving and delivery of products to the receiving department. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Associate will manage VMI (Vendor Management Inventory) counts. Wear appropriate PPE determined by the customer such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves and ear plugs. This candidate would be working at a Ferguson client. So a high level customer service Must have: Attention to detail Accountability Professionalism (Friendly disposition) Qualifications: A background in warehouse functions such as shipping, receiving, and inventory is preferred. Product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn it. Attention to detail, fast learner and have administrative work experience. Computer experience, Outlook email, excel 1 year customer service Manual lifting up to 40 lbs-may be one time a week. Standing, bending twisting, pulling through out the 8 hour shift. No PIT equipment or Forklift work. Responsibilities: Put away products into vending machines. Receive, verify, and stock all incoming material.
