Description

Come be a part of our team in Carlsbad, CA. We are looking for a candidate who has proficiency in prepping material, soldering, crimping, labeling, using power tools, reading blueprints and packaging of products for shipping. Follows safety and housekeeping client policies and is able to work overtime as needed.

Schedule: M-TH 3pm-12:30am every other Friday 3pm-11:30pm

Openings:
Crimping Machine Operator 17/hr.-20/hr.
Wire Stripping 17/hr.-20/hr.
Wire Tinning 17/hr.-18/hr.

The Assembler (II) performs specific or specialized repetitive manual tasks associated with the assembly of cables, parts, components, printed circuit boards, and whole units; including prepping material, soldering, crimping, labeling and packaging of products for shipping. May or will operate machinery and equipment to assist in the manufacturing of product. Uses power tools to assemble units, and soldering equipment to solder printed circuit boards or wire and cables; prepping material, crimping and building cables according to specifications. Will perform tests, calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances, and product specifications; identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels, troubleshoots, and repairs as necessary to meet desired outcome

Core Competencies:
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills;
Ability to interpret blueprints, procedural manuals and instructions written in English; Must be able to work independently and able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions;
Proficiency with computer skills.
Must be detailed and quality-oriented.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others to achieve goals.

Preferred Experience:
Crimping Machines JST, HRS, Molex, AMP and EDAC
Wire Stripping Machine (Schleuniger)

Physical and Mental Demands
This position requires the ability to walk and move around the production floor, as well as the capacity to stand, walk, climb stairs, and sit for extended periods. Occasionally, the role may involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. There may be a need to lift, carry, and move items ranging from light to heavy weights, from 5 to 35 pounds, with occasional pushing of up to 50 pounds. Hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp hand tools and type or write for extended periods, will also be necessary. The job also requires visual acuity, peripheral vision, and the ability to distinguish colors, as well as close and long-distance vision with the ability to adjust focus to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment and hand tools, and read information for prolonged periods. Furthermore, the role will require the ability to reach with hands and arms and engage in prolonged periods of talking and listening.
