Growing electronic contract manufacturer located in Carlsbad is seeking Assemblers & Crimping Machine operators for their production line.


Crimping Machine Operator, Pay Rate $19/hr to $20/hr
Wire Stripper, Pay Rate $19/hr to $20/hr
Wire Tinner, Pay Rate $17/hr to $18/hr

2nd shift: M-Th 3pm-12:30 am every other Friday 3:00pm - 11:30 pm, every other Friday off.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of management, the Assembler (II) performs specific or specialized repetitive manual tasks associated with the assembly of cables, parts, components, printed circuit boards, and whole units; including prepping material, soldering, crimping, labeling and packaging of products for shipping. May or will operate machinery and equipment to assist in the manufacturing of product. Uses power tools to assemble units, and soldering equipment to solder printed circuit boards or wire and cables; prepping material, crimping and building cables according to specifications. Will perform tests, calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances, and product specifications; identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels, troubleshoots, and repairs as necessary to meet desired outcome.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of specific or specialized repetitive manual tasks with hand tools, and equipment to assist in mechanical/ electro-mechanical assembly of products that include; printed circuit boards, wire and cable harnesses, and whole units/systems.
Performs various prepping tasks associated with assembly; such as stripping, splicing, crimping, cutting, potting, tinning wire, stuffing, and verifying components.
Populates circuit boards; wiring and building cable harnesses.
Uses manual soldering equipment to perform through-hole, rework, and surface mount technology.
Performs soldering on wires and printed circuit boards to install additional parts/components, cables and switches.
Participate in inventory cycle counting and material handling.
Visually inspects work completed for accuracy and reports defective products, or production issues to management immediately.
May perform basic functional testing on assembled devices and reports system failures as required.
Operates and troubleshoots specialized machinery and equipment.
Labels finished products to match appropriate paperwork and completes all packaging tasks associated with delivery of product.
Maintain a clean and organized work station and adhere to all guidelines for PPE, tool use, etc



Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or training preferred; and/or one-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Wire crimping operators should be familiar with JST, HRS, Molex, AMP and EDAC
Wire strippers preferably experienced with Schleinger machine.
