Come join our team at our client site in Carlsbad, CA! We specialize in producing high-precision cables for the Medical, Industrial, and Aerospace/Defense sectors. The Wire Crimping Machine Operator will be responsible for operating crimping machines to produce high-quality, precision cables used in medical devices, industrial applications, and aerospace/defense systems. This role requires working with tiny cables, ensuring each crimp meets exacting standards, and consistently achieving a production quota of 30 crimps per minute. Schedule: M-TH 3pm-12:30am every other Friday 3pm-11:30pm Openings: Crimping Machine Operator 17/hr.-21/hr. Wire Stripping 17/hr.-20/hr. Wire Tinning 16.85/hr.-18/hr. Why Join Us? Key Responsibilities: Operate Crimping Machines: Set up, adjust, and operate crimping machines to accurately crimp tiny cables used in medical, industrial, and aerospace/defense applications. Ensure crimping is performed to precise specifications. Wire Preparation: Precisely strip insulation from tiny cables, preparing them for crimping without damaging the conductor. Meet Production Quota: Consistently achieve a production rate of 30 crimps per minute while maintaining high quality and accuracy. Quality Assurance: Inspect crimped connections for strength, durability, and compliance with customer and industry standards. Perform regular tests and visual inspections to verify the integrity of crimped connections. Machine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on crimping machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Report any issues to the maintenance team promptly. Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including batch numbers, quantities, machine settings, and inspection results. Ensure all documentation meets industry standards. Compliance & Standards: Adhere to all industry regulations and company policies, including those specific to medical, industrial, and aerospace/defense sectors. Follow cleanroom protocols when required. Collaboration: Work closely with the quality control and engineering teams to address any wires-related issues. Safety: Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Technical training in electrical or mechanical fields is an advantage. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating wire crimping machines, particularly with tiny cables in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Experience in the medical, industrial, or aerospace/defense sectors is highly preferred. Skills: Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for working with tiny cables. Ability to meet strict production quotas while maintaining high-quality standards. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, schematics, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing flawless work. Basic troubleshooting skills for machine operation and maintenance. |
