Weekly Pay! 26.00 per hour 600AM to 230PM This job description outlines a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician position with responsibilities focused on maintaining product quality through routine laboratory tests, monitoring production, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Here are the key details broken down: Responsibilities: Perform routine biological or chemical analytical tests to ensure product consistency. Monitor production processes (sensory, weight control, moisture, pH, size, color) to meet established specifications. Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Validate and calibrate testing equipment. Communicate any non-compliance or quality issues to production employees and supervisors. Execute and monitor the Food Safety and Quality Plans in compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food) system requirements. Manage the handling of out-of-compliance finished products (hold, rework, or disposition). Monitor storage areas and raw materials for abnormalities. Validate and verify metal detection processes, allergen maintenance, and pre-operational inspections. Conduct plant sanitation verifications. Document all testing accurately. Coordinate with multiple departments including QA, procurement, product development, and suppliers. Participate in mandatory overtime and perform additional duties as required. Project-Specific Responsibilities: This position is part of a SOVOS Integration Project, and you will work on: Requesting documentation from suppliers and analyzing data Maintaining the Client Supplier Location Approval Program Tracking non-conformance and related testing programs Supporting pilot plant environmental programs and other special projects SDS, Organic, etc. Technically draftingupdating ingredient specifications via Opteva PLM System. Managing supplier databases in Repoint to ensure alignment with Opteva. Supporting quality systems audits and ingredient HACCP compliance to SQF standards. Qualifications: BS in Science 1plus years of experience in a technical role at a food facility. Strong experience with systems such as SharePoint, Opteva, SAP, PML systems. Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn and adapt quickly. Familiarity with food safety standards (SQF, HACCP) is beneficial. This position requires a technical background, particularly with PLM systems like Opteva, and experience in food safety and quality assurance processes. It also involves cross-functional coordination and detailed documentation of supplier information and ingredient specifications. |
