DESCRIPTION

The Financial Analyst role is responsible for the commercial support to Masonite. Financial function support encompasses Masonite?s Wholesale sales group, Residential products, and Residential new products in development.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the sales forecast and improving accuracy while streamlining process.
Provide all internal customers with a clear, concise, and accurate assessment of financial performance while identifying gaps to financial goals and prioritize actions.
Deliver project on overall assessment of customer programs, including rebate structure, returns spend, and other customer deductions.
Deliver customer and product gross profit reporting in an accurate, simple, repeatable, and streamlined format.
Work with the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning team (SIOP) on forecast accuracy and delivering improved unit volume forecasts.
Direct team to accurate and reliable data of price, mix and volume drivers of the business and understanding of shares gain/losses in the market.
Ensure new product development cases have clear business and financial plans.
Assisting management in developing accurate Financial Plans such as the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the quarterly Forecast preparation

Skills and Capabilities:
Revenue management skills and product knowledge skills preferred.
Strong sense of accountability; operates with sense of urgency and ownership in performing job duties.
Ability to manage competing priorities with ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines
Strong analytical, quantitative, and team collaboration skills
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills at various levels in the organization
Ability to consolidate complex data / information into concise communication points
Excellent organizational skills including but not limited to project planning, time management, and project management
Must be a self-starter, flexible, and able to work on time sensitive projects
without daily supervision
Advanced database and excel knowledge/ skills, proficient in PowerPoint

Qualifications:
Finance or Accounting degree required.
2-5 years? experience in an entry level business or financial management or accounting position
A proven track record of reporting and utilizing financial information to drive business performance
Accuracy and precision in all matters of presenting and reporting data
Thorough understanding of Financial Systems and Reporting
Excellent skills in prioritizing and planning work activities, developing realistic action plans, time efficiency (balance of analytical and action oriented).
Ability to strike a balance between having perfect data/analysis and decision making
Effective communication and influencing skills across all levels
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
