We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Packaging Technician to join our team for a 6-12 month assignment at our San Diego, CA location. This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on the filling and packaging of liquid antibodies and other materials in a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in science or manufacturing and be comfortable working with laboratory equipment such as pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Assignment Duration: 6-12 months

Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Packaging Technician to join our team for a 6-12 month assignment at our San Diego, CA location. This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on the filling and packaging of liquid antibodies and other materials in a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in science or manufacturing and be comfortable working with laboratory equipment such as pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances.

Key Responsibilities:
Fill liquid antibodies into vials using lab instruments (pipettes, pumps, scales).
Learn and execute basic packaging processes, including vial filling, bagging, labeling, and inventory management.
Meet departmental production targets efficiently while ensuring high-quality standards.
Organize individual schedules and follow both routine and detailed instructions.
Support material handling and assist with inventory management tasks.
Operate labeling equipment and assist in the creation of printed literature.
Input packaging data into SAP or other production planning systems.
Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) policies and participate in safety programs.
Follow standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
Maintain clean and safe work areas, following PPE requirements and handling hazardous waste as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
A science and/or manufacturing background is required.
Minimum of 6 months of industry work experience (preferably in a manufacturing or scientific setting).
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations (e.g., calculating fill volume).
Familiarity with lab equipment such as pipettes, peristaltic pumps, and analytical balances.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a team and meet production deadlines.

Physical Requirements:
Must wear a lab coat, gloves, goggles, and other protective gear as required.
Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Casual attire is allowed, but must be appropriate for the lab environment (closed-toe shoes, no torn clothing).

Preferred Skills:
Experience with packaging or manufacturing processes, particularly in a laboratory setting.
Familiarity with SAP or other manufacturing resource planning systems
