In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our products are packaged safely and efficiently, adhering to all regulatory standards and company policies. As a Packaging Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling packaging materials according to specification as well as operating and maintaining packaging machinery. Attention to detail is essential, as you will conduct quality checks to confirm that all finished products meet our stringent quality requirements. You will work closely with other departments, such as quality assurance and production, to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of packaged products. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented mindset, as collaboration and cooperation are vital in meeting our production goals Schedule:specifications 8 AMto 4 Pm -Monday -Friday Payrate: $25/hr Summary The Packaging Technician I is responsible for performing routine bottling, labeling, and packaging processes according to established procedures and work instructions. He/she must be able to read, understand, and complete all packaging documentation including batch records, standard operating procedures and/or work instructions, and material processing requests. He/she must possess basic computer and analytical skills. The Packaging Technician I must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly diverse, team oriented, work environment. Job Responsibilities: 1. Learn and understand: ? Basic packaging process flow ? Basic inventory and supplies management process flow ? Basic bottling techniques for all single vial purified and conjugate materials ? Basic packaging processes including bagging and labeling ? Use of pipette, scale, and other packaging equipment as required ? Support label creation process by learning and operating all labeling equipment Support the departmental packaging supplies and material management functions including storing, retrieving, and staging supplies/materials as required Support technical manual and technical data sheet preparation and operate associated equipment to produce printed literature Support LDMS and daily shift start up meetings Understand and input packaging data, as required, in the SAP system and/or other Production Planning/Manufacturing Resource database system(s) Follow all department guidelines and procedures Follow Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures: Take responsibility for safety in the immediate work area. Participate in EH&S programs. Notify supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment. Physical demand:. Ability to lift 20-30 pounds in a safe manner; requesting assistance when appropriate Technicians may stand or sit at the bench to perform their assignments. Most associates choose to stand to perform the filing, capping, labeling, and packaging activities. Packaging Technicians often stand for large kit assembly events and at times manage items up to 20-30 pounds, requesting assistance when required for ergonomic safety.
