*Primary Job Function:* This position is tasked with executing plant maintenance and engineering responsibilities, effectively fulfilling the plant's standards for downtime, safety, performance, and quality. *Essential Job Functions:* - Monitor equipment functions to ensure operational efficiency. - Diagnose equipment and machinery failures or issues, implementing corrective actions with minimal supervision. - Conduct advanced repairs and adjustments related to electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. - Possess the capability to manage a complete plant startup, with particular emphasis on critical machines, including the spiral P.M. and engine refrigeration rooms. - Utilize maintenance work orders, breakdown reports, and preventative maintenance logs effectively. - Fabricate equipment utilized in processing and packaging operations. - Assist in the installation of new plant equipment. - Support production personnel in resolving mechanical, electrical, or other operational challenges pertaining to any plant equipment. - Execute preventative maintenance and lubrication on production machinery and other plant facilities in accordance with the assigned preventative maintenance program. - Properly carry out Lock Out/ Tag Out and Hot Work Tickets as required. *Food Safety Responsibilities:* All personnel are mandated to report immediately and assist in addressing any observed food safety concerns to their supervisor. - Monitor and enforce current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). - Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices and prerequisite programs. *Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:* *Education and Certification Requirements:* - Forklift certification is required. - A minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in food production line equipment maintenance is necessary. - Knowledge of welding, soldering, and fabrication is essential. *Language Requirement:* - Proficiency in understanding written and verbal instructions in English and/or Spanish is required. *Physical Requirements:* - Frequently lift and carry weights between 10-50 lbs. - Occasionally lift and carry weights ranging from 51-100 lbs. - Ability to climb an industrial ladder on occasion. - Regularly engage in lifting, standing, walking, and utilizing hands and fingers. | |
