Weekly Pay! $35.00/Hour Shift Details: 8:00AM - 4:00PM DESCRIPTION: Your key responsibilities Prepare samples for sensory studies by meticulously following protocols and instructions without sacrificing either speed or accuracy. Run sensory panels by giving directions to panelists, answering questions, and troubleshooting, all while projecting confident, positive, and professional demeanor. Quickly learn how to operate and maintain sensitive laboratory instruments (e.g., olfactometer). Identify problems, analyze possible causes, and suggest improvements in methods, techniques, and equipment. Maintain a well organized laboratory and inventory. Assist with data analyses, literature searches, and software programming of sensory tests, as needed. Required: The ability to see the workings of the Flavor and Fragrance industry and real world applications of sensory science. You bring At least 1 year of laboratory experience that includes pipetting and weighing. Eye for detail and organization do you pay attention to the minute details of project or task Strong interpersonal and communication skills Good time management can you make progress on multiple tasks concurrently Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly without being frustrated. High comfort level with learning new software and hardware. Enthusiastic and energetic attitude Preferred Previous experience testing human research participants and awareness of associated practices and protocols (e.g., Declaration of Helsinki, consenting, etc.) Interest in the science of flavor and fragrance Education: High School Diploma or GED Required, bachelor's degree Preferred but not required.
