JobsRUs.com. is seeking to hire a Yard Spotter for our client in Jacksonville FL! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $23.00/Hour DESCRIPTION: Day to Day Duties: The prospect Colleague will be operating a Ottawa yard spotter truck. Moving containers to and from dock doors. Incumbent would need to be able to climb up and down a catwalk ladder to plug and unplug containers as needed. This would be an overnight position as well. 0-3 Years of Experience, Responsible for moving trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading. Works with loaders warehouse supervisors to move trucks and trailers from one location to another according to door assignments as needed to complete the loading process. Checks to ensure that each unit is sealed, and that the refrigeration unit is operating correctly and running. Ensures the trailer or truck is completely loaded and secured before moving from the dock area. Works with transportation management to ensure the proper equipment is used on the proper route. Works closely with fleet shop management to ensure any repairs are finished before using equipment. Helps keep truck parking yard free of debris and trash. Arranges trucks and trailers on the yard in an orderly and efficient manner. Requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). pallet jack and forklift certification from Client. the ability to read, write, and understand English. basic arithmetic skills. ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Preferred requirements include warehouse or transportation experience and truck backing experience. High school diploma not required. Reports to Outbound Warehouse Supervisor. | |
