JobsRUs.com is hiring for a Painter for a large automotive parts manufacturing facility in Fraser, MI.

**Candidate must have prior industrial painting experience. **

Work schedule is Wednesday thru Sunday, 10:00am - 7:30pm.

The main missions of the role are to:

? Attends all required meetings; Top 5, Top 60, and Town Hall.
? Ensure 100% delivery to customer while maintaining a high quality level.
? Take part and improve effectiveness using Lean Manufacturing methods;
? Install and maintain 5S standards.
? Responsible for the safety of all personnel working in the areas including visitors.
Ensure health and safety requirements and procedures are adhered to.
? Carry out Process to correct Quality and Production Standards within cycle time;
? Escalate issues to Production Supervisor
? Work flexibly in order to meet customer demands and needs;
? Responsible for maintaining equipment in an excellent working condition
? Receives instruction from Supervisor and/or Gap Leader regarding painting and
finishes required on products.
? Selects premixed paints, or mixes required portions of paint, thinners and additives to
prepare paint that matches specified colors or finishes.
? Paints surfaces of products using spray gun and various paint delivery equipment.
? Changes out spray booth filters as needed or on regular basis in order to ensure safe
and proper working condition of spray booth.
? Properly prep surfaces for painted finishing
? Cleans and maintains spray guns and all spray equipment, pumps, filters, fluid lines,
etc. in order to prevent system clogs, malfunction or downtime.
? Employee shall notify supervisor in a timely manner, of any shortages in materials
and supplies and of any equipment malfunctions.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
? Experience in production within the automotive industry;
? Basic level of lean manufacturing techniques preferable but not essential;
? Strong attention to detail and willing to listen, discuss and ?bottom out? issues;
? Ability to work under pressure to tight time scales;
? Good decision maker, able to work on own initiative;
? Self motivated and task orientated;
? Ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
? Strong team player;
? Flexible approach to Business needs
? Proficient level of English
