Job Summary:
As an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician, you will support the daily operations of plant machinery, equipment, and systems, ensuring smooth operations and a safe working environment. This is a great role for individuals who are eager to learn on the job while assisting in the maintenance and repair of essential equipment in a production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
? Assist in the maintenance and repair of various plant machinery and equipment (pumps, conveyors, compressors, etc.)
? Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment is in good working condition and address potential issues early on
? Follow all safety procedures to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and your team
? Collaborate with senior technicians to troubleshoot electromechanical issues
? Support the upkeep of dairy production systems (pasteurization, packaging equipment)
? Perform preventative maintenance tasks
? Maintain records of work completed, activities performed, and parts/inventory used
? Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and knowledge
? Respond quickly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize plant downtime
Qualifications:
? High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training in industrial maintenance is a plus
? Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills preferred
? Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
? Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
? Capable of working independently as well as within a team environment
? Willingness to work assigned shifts and holidays if needed
? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to maintenance
? Previous experience in manufacturing or food processing environments is a plus but not necessary
