Monday to Friday
730AM to 330PM


Forklift Operator

Transport materials, load unload products, and support warehouse and production operations.

Move finished goods, raw materials, and scrap using forklifts. Maintain inventory, prepare shipments, and assist with general plant tasks.

Responsibilities

Safety and Compliance
Follow all safety rules and report any issues.
Operate forklifts safely to transport products.
Adhere to environmental and recycling procedures.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.

Warehouse and Production Support
Load, unload, and move materials between warehouse and production.
Verify shipments and maintain accurate inventory records.
Prepare truckloads for shipment.
Assist in resolving supply chain related quality issues.

Equipment and Maintenance
Monitor and report maintenance needs.
Follow loading instructions to maximize truck space.
Support plant wide 5S and housekeeping standards.

Requirements
Experience operating forklifts or powered industrial vehicles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills SAP experience is a plus.
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Planned Down Time and Changeovers
Assist warehouse with cleaning and organizing inventory
Assist in ongoing production needs

Total Productive Maintenance
Work to drive a Zero Injury, Zero Defect, Zero Loss Culture

Autonomous Maintenance
Own the equipment on the line in terms of CIL standards
Ability to learn troubleshooting methodology such as cause mapping or five why analysis
Troubleshooting ability to solve tags created regarding abnormalities

Focused Improvement
Combines the collective talents of a company to create an engine for continuous improvement
Provide the methodology and disciplined approaches to be able to identify and eliminate losses through loss tree deployment

Training and Development
Operators develop skills to routinely maintain equipment and identify emerging problems.
Maintenance personnel learn techniques for proactive and preventative maintenance.

Safety, Health and Environmental
Eliminates potential health and safety risks, resulting in a safer workplace.
Specifically targets the goal of an accident free workplace

Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
Must have the ability to multi task
Must have strong internal and external customer service skills
Must work well in a team environment
Must be self motivated to work independently to meet targets
Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
Must have prior forklift experience
Previous Warehouse experience preferred

Computer and Software Competencies
Use basic computer functions
Log on to company computer system, maintaining electronic communication
Type accurately
Use Microsoft Word and Excel
Use of SAP
