Job Title: Quality Engineer 2 Onsite Location: Simi Valley, CA Pay Range: $90K ? $105K (Based on experience) Position Summary: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Quality Engineer 2 to join our client's team in Simi Valley, CA. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, testing, and inspecting products to ensure they meet specified standards and perform as designed. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in both laboratory settings and on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities: ? Perform inspections and testing of products, using tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, volt meters, and other electronic inspection equipment. ? Lead quality improvement activities on the shop floor, conducting audits, and training the inspection team. ? Facilitate Corrective & Preventive Action (CPA) activities and ensure timely closure of open corrective actions. ? Review customer contracts, purchase orders, and compliance matrices to ensure adherence to quality requirements. ? Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to create and maintain Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans. ? Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product and process-related issues. ? Review and approve First Article and Final Inspection reports, and ensure proper documentation of quality processes. ? Provide training on quality-related topics and interface with customer quality, engineering, and government representatives. Qualifications: ? Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Quality or Engineering (Required); Master?s Degree preferred. ? Experience: Minimum of 5 years in quality or manufacturing-related disciplines, with supervisory experience preferred. ? Familiarity with quality industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, NQA-1) preferred. ? Strong knowledge of inspection tools and methods, including GD&T and multi-level Bills of Materials. ? Proven analytical skills and ability to apply systematic, disciplined problem-solving methods. Conditions of Employment: ? U.S. citizenship or permanent residency may be required for this position due to U.S. export compliance and/or government contracting eligibility. Compensation & Benefits: ?
