JobsRUs.com is hiring for a Maintenance Technician for a large automotive parts manufacturing facility in Columbus, IN. The role of a Plant Maintenance technician is to participate in the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for all equipment and facilities. Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of maintenance or engineering experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment Responsibilities include: Install, repair, and maintain all equipment and facilities o Perform preventive maintenance in a deep equipment level o Analyze breakdowns: Spare parts needs, root cause, action to avoid re-occurrence, and preventive checklist modification o Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment o Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality o Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime o Record operational data such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up, and preventive maintenance records o Review production schedule, and when equipment is not scheduled for production, perform scheduled maintenance o Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions for all facilities and process efficiency o Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities o Ensure manufacturing, Health, Safety and Environment, and maintainability requirements are met o Set up requisition for supplies, equipment, and facilities o Participate in the management of the inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime o Keep up to date documentation related to maintenance o Train operators on the safe operation of production equipment o Perform minor repairs to building fixtures o Perform minor plumbing repairs, clean electrical fixtures, replace bulbs, and paint o Maintain clean and sate working environment in line with company policy o Adhere to all work rules and procedures o Clean, paint equipment, seal floors, clean floors, and paint lines around equipment when line is down or when assigned o Actively participate in work teams o Submit at least one improvement idea per month o Perform other duties as requested Skills/Knowledge: o Electrical wiring and mechanical skills o Knowledge of PLC equipment o Working Knowledge of Ladder logic and network protocols o Strong computer skills o Knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety and Environmental o Strong technical problem solving skills o Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills o Satisfactory company work record, including attendance o Successful completion of Faurecia?s in-house training program o Ability to follow instruction verbal and written o Excellent math, language, and reading skills required o Ability to communicate with employees of all levels o Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner o Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to company's Code of Ethics and Code of Management Minimum education level: Technical diploma and/or journeyman card Please submit resume |
