Job Title: Materials Handler Location: Simi Valley, California Contract/Temp Shift: 1st Shift Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Job Description: Jobsrus.com is hiring for our client, Airframe Systems Ventura County, for the position of Materials Handler (1st Shift). The Materials Handler is responsible for ensuring the proper and timely flow of all materials and products from arrival until stored or shipped, adhering to established policies and procedures. This role includes physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, while maintaining safety and compliance with company guidelines. Core Responsibilities: ? Receive, stock, and distribute parts or materials, loading or unloading trucks as necessary. ? Check received goods against purchase orders or invoices. ? Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items. ? Examine stock and distribute materials for inventory and manufacturing lines. ? Prepare and maintain records for merchandise shipped. ? Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. ? Post weights and shipping charges, and prepare goods for final shipment. ? Perform additional responsibilities as required. ? Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, with variable schedules and additional hours as necessary. Job Specifications: ? Education: Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience. ? Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field. ? Years of Experience: 2 years or more of relevant experience. ? Skills: o Ability to write, communicate, and utilize math skills. o Skilled in using powered industrial trucks, material handling equipment, and small hand tools. o Basic computer skills. o Capable of operating within a structured/supervised environment, following written and oral instructions with minimal supervision.
