DESCRIPTION: Janitorial / Sanitation Worker PURPOSE: Maintain buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties. Perform heavy cleaning duties. Operate forklift in order to sweep trash from building to building. SCHEDULE: 2ND SHIFT- 3:00PM - 11:30PM JOB DUTIES: ?- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. ?- Gather and empty trash. ?- Service, clean, and supply restrooms. ?- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. ?- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. ?- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating system. ?- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties ?- Operate and maintain the garbage compacter and forklift when needed. ?- Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job order ?- Handle emergency cleaning and up keep requests. ?- Operate forklift for trash moving. ?- Other duties may be assigned as needed SKILLS/QUALIFICATION: Willing to work early morning or late night and weekends shifts. Ability to work well under minimal supervision. Capacity to take direction. Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary. Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
