We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented warehouse operators to join our dynamic team in the Medical Devices sector. As part of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for the handling and management of materials, components, and finished products shipped out globally from our distribution center in Otay Mesa. You will work in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and timeliness are paramount. The ideal candidate will understand inventory management, quality assurance, and logistics in a production setting. Shift- 7:30 AM w/ 45 min lunch - 40 hrs/wk + Overtime Pay- $17.25/hr Benefits- Medical, dental, vision, 401k, additional benefits. Contract to perm position. Description: The warehouse operator uses a variety of equipment such as pallet jacks, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, and finished products or goods within the warehouse. May maintain records. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks such as picking and packing, wrapping, palletizing, or completing cycle counts. Works within clearly defined SOPs and adheres to quality guidelines. Must be able to work with general to limited supervision. Qualifications Zero (0) to one (1) year of warehouse experience or related experience and/or training. -Has basic skills training in an analytical method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production). -Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand. -Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations. Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment. General computer skills. The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs. The position will have exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions and vibration. Occasionally the position will have exposure to work in high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating).
