Job Title: Entry-Level Quality Inspector Location: Elyria, OH Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Salary: Starting between $20.50 - $22.00 per hour Job Type: RPO Direct Hire Position Summary Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Quality Inspector to join their team. This position requires at least 1+ years of inspection experience. As a Quality Inspector, you will work in a team environment under guidance to perform semi-complex inspection duties, ensuring that products meet the required specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities ? Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and certifications as required by applicable specifications. ? Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection and calibration of parts, tools, instruments, or x-ray film. ? Perform detailed inspections of machined parts using various measuring instruments to assess acceptability. ? Read and interpret blueprints, including complex geometric tolerances and dimensions. ? Adapt and develop inspection setups for sample parts, forgings, castings, and tooling layouts. ? Perform first article and envelope inspections, source inspections, and surface plate setups. ? Interpret technical specifications, drawings, schematics, and charts to determine part acceptance or rejection. ? Ensure the quality of products for cosmetics, dimensional requirements, and identification. ? Maintain accurate written inspection records and properly segregate non-conforming material. ? Investigate customer return failures and assist in source inspections as necessary. ? Provide technical support and training to other departments on measurement techniques and inspection methods. Additional Responsibilities ? Maintain a high level of customer service, productivity, safety, and cleanliness in the work environment. ? Participate in department problem-solving, lean initiatives, and high-performance teams. ? Actively contribute to 5S practices and maintain a clean and organized work area. ? Assist with training and development efforts of team members. ? Continuously improve skills and knowledge in the inspection field. ? Travel as needed to research, identify, and repair product failures. ? Perform other duties as required to support the team. Job Qualifications and Requirements ? High School Diploma or GED is required. ? Minimum 1+ year of experience in performing complex inspections. ? Knowledge of aerospace products, specifications, and requirements is a plus. ? Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). ? Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, test specifications, and customer requirements. ? Strong understanding of shop mathematics, including trigonometry. ? Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. ? Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. ? Visual inspection skills are required. ? Preferred experience with CMM operations and ANSI Y 14.5 dimensioning/tolerancing. ? Ability to work effectively as part of a team. ? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. ? Certification as a Level II Nondestructive Test Inspector in multiple disciplines is a plus. ? Must pass visual acuity test, including color distinction.
