JobsRUs.com. is seeking to hire a Assembler for our client in Pineville NC! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $16.42/Hour DESCRIPTION: The fiber assembler performs manual labor along a production line. Fiber optic assemblers specialize in cutting, stripping, and terminating fiber optic cables with several different connectors. A fiber assembler must have an aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. Their function is to ensure that all parts and products under their care are in proper working order and meet the quality standards of the company. Use tools to make or repair parts and products. Follow Fiber Supervisor?s and assigned production lead?s instructions on a day-to-day basis. Prepare and apply epoxy to fiber optic connectors. Operate technical equipment in a lab setting Terminate ends of the cable with connectors. Assist in Testing cables prior to shipment. Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed Interpret customer drawings and assemble them per customer?s specifications. When needed assist in packaging and labeling material. Work with other members of the line or group to assemble products. Keep a clean and tidy workspace. Follow all company-wide rules and regulations to ensure your safety and the safety of your coworkers Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures. Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise. Other duties as assigned General Tasks Related to Assembly Responsibilities including but are not limited to: Provide support and back up assistance to peers. Follow all safety rules Cable Exchange promotes. Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Operates any equipment needed to perform the job. Performs related duties as needed by supervision. Minimum years of experience: 2-3 years Skills Required: The employee is frequently required to use their hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds. | |
