Weekly Pay! $24.00/Hour Shift Details: 2st Shift Working Days: Monday - Friday Day Starts at: 1:30PM Day Ends at: 10:00PM DESCRIPTION: The position requires a range of competencies from the ability to work with minimal supervision, to apply good judgment, to work safely and responsibly, to be able to adapt to change, and to be reliable and conscientious when coming to work. Must be able to receive and provide direction for the fermentation operating crew for plant management. Candidates must be able to work afternoon work shift 1330-2200 M-F with occasional weekend work (Possibility of 1-2 weekends or month). Chosen candidate will start dayshift for approximately 2-3 weeks for training before transitioning to steady afternoon shift schedule. Key areas of accountability or responsibility: At end of shift, makes sure all records are up to date and have been signed. Shift turnover. Maintains Pilot Plant housekeeping standards. Review?s SOPs with team as specified. Complies with all safety standards. Operates and monitors equipment and process to produce quality test data and information to a pre-determined operations plan. Identifies equipment or process problems or improvement opportunities and communicates findings as appropriate. Makes necessary adjustments to react to process changes or to optimize process performance. Obtains and inspects finished or in-process product and performs sampling and testing as required. Performs material handling (e.g., manually dumping bags or drums of ingredients, solvents or other process streams, and loading or unloading portable tanks. Weighing and dispensing of raw materials. Monitor DCS and take action as required to control the process. Performs general housekeeping or maintenance of process areas (e.g., painting, cleaning, etc.). Maintains process and equipment documentation for tracking overall equipment effectiveness. Reviews batch sheets for accuracy. Attends formal training classes (e.g., safety, quality improvement, problem solving, MSDS, etc.). Completes all required computer-based training modules. She Duties and Responsibilities: Display and promote positive safety behaviors at all times use proper personal protective equipment, appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedures to ensure that self and others go home safe each day that area and equipment operate at the highest safety levels that all people in the area (finance personnel, visitors, maintenance, contractors, etc.) comply with the safety directives and keep the area neat and clean. Skills: Mechanical Skills, Computer skills and minimal Lab Equipment 50-pound max weightlifting Education: High School Diploma or GED Required |
