Benefits: Position is Temp to hire. Candidate will have to pass aptitude test and join the local union if they would like to be full time employees. We are seeking to hire a dedicated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team at our client's dairy plant. 3rd Shift $20.50/Hour This position is ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The technician will assist in maintaining plant machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure efficient plant operations while adhering to health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: ? Assist in the daily maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment (pumps, conveyors, compressors, etc). ? Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition and identify potential issues before they become major problems. ? Follow all plant safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. ? Support senior maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and resolving electromechanical issues. ? Maintain and repair dairy production systems such as pasteurization, and packaging equipment. ? Complete preventative maintenance as needed ? Maintain accurate records of activities, work completed, and inventory used. ? Participate in training sessions to stay up to date with equipment technology and maintenance practices. ? Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed to minimize downtime. Qualifications: ? High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus. ? Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills are preferred. ? Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. ? Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. ? Ability to work independently and in a team environment. ? Willingness to work assigned hours ? Willingness to work holidays as required. ? Ability to lift and move up to 50lb, and perform physical tasks related to the maintenance of equipment. ? Prior experience in a manufacturing, food manufacturing, or industrial environment is a plus, but not required. | |
