Position: Agricultural Production and Trial Technician Location: Fowler, IN Pay: $31.00/hour Shift: 1st Shift, Monday ? Friday (8:00 AM ? 5:00 PM) Employment Type: Contract through JobsRUs.com Benefits: Weekly pay, benefits available Job Summary: The Agricultural Production and Trial Technician will support soybean research and development efforts across the Eastern Corn Belt. This role involves assisting with field trials, data collection, and equipment operation to evaluate soybean varieties. It's an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about agriculture, fieldwork, and innovation in crop development. The technician will operate and maintain farm equipment, ensure plot maintenance, and contribute to collecting valuable agronomic data. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planting, maintaining, and harvesting soybean research plots Collect soil and plant data across multiple states (IN, MI, OH, KY) Operate and maintain farm machinery (tractors, sprayers, combines, etc.) Maintain equipment and facilities following SOPs and safety standards Manage company vehicle use for field travel Ensure data quality and accurate field execution Qualifications: Recent experience in agriculture, farming, or field research Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Comfortable with physical work (lift up to 35 lbs) Strong attention to detail and communication skills Willingness to learn operation of specialized agricultural equipment PC literate; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred Available for extended hours during planting and harvest seasons | |
