We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microbiology Lab Tech to join our dynamic team in the Medical industry. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of microbiological analyses to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our medical products. .The position requires a hands-on approach in carrying out complex laboratory procedures, analyzing results, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during testing. As a Microbiology Lab Technician III, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, research and development, and manufacturing, to support product development and compliance initiatives. Mon-Friday Rate of pay is $29 - Weekly Pay Medical, Dental, 401k, vision included Job Overview Reporting to the Microbiology Lab Supervisor within the Quality Assurance department, this position supports the daily operations of the microbiology laboratory. The role involves performing microbiological testing in accordance with established work instructions, procedures, protocols, and standards. Precision, attention to detail, and accurate record-keeping are essential. The individual may also collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and complete various projects and assignments. Key Responsibilities Perform microbiological testing such as SDA, Bioburden, LAL, and other contamination assessments as required. Prepare product test samples for analysis. Conduct environmental monitoring activities. Prepare and quality-check media required for testing. Calibrate, clean, and decontaminate laboratory equipment and glassware. Collect, trend, and report data as needed. Assist with the implementation and validation of new laboratory equipment. Support the alignment of local quality documents and procedures with corporate policies. Provide support during internal and external audits. Build and maintain internal networks and develop external resources to facilitate task completion with suppliers. Proactively identify and assist in resolving out-of-specification (OOS) laboratory results. Plan, organize, and prioritize daily tasks to meet established schedules. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in a scientific discipline, or A minimum of three years of microbiology laboratory experience, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry. Strong understanding of laboratory operations. Preferred Skills Proficiency in aseptic techniques and high attention to detail. Strong communication, organizational, planning, and time management skills. Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or ISO 9001-regulated environments is preferred. BD04123JD |
