The Material Handler II is responsible for the safe, accurate loading, unloading, and processing of products within the distribution center. Duties include pallet and case picking, inventory movement, operating material handling equipment (MHE), and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Monday-Thursday 8pm-6:30am Pay is 17.50 + 1.50 for shift differential (total rate $19) Cherry Picker and Reach truck experience needed Duties and Responsibilities Pallet/Case Picking · Processing customer orders including but not limited to: scanning bar codes, picking and labeling boxes. · Pick, pack and process orders. · Processing orders through RF technology. · Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions. · Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP. Pallet Building · Palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets. · Re-palletizing products for shipment. · May be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper. Inbound/Outbound/Inventory Movement · Inbound/Outbound shipments are to be loaded/unloaded utilizing the WMS. · Ensure every effort is made to load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and impedes damages. · Completes all assigned duties in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and following department procedures. · May be responsible for operating the parcel manifest station. · May be responsible for transportation documentation · May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Material handling equipment · Material handling equipment must be operated in a safe manner by designated associates only. All damage and/or maintenance issues must be reported immediately. · Equipment must be kept neat and orderly in compliance with established procedures. · Must be able to maintain equipment certification at all times. Safety and Security · Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements. · Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct all activities in a manner that promotes a safe environment. Quality · Understand organizational quality goals. Sanitation and Housekeeping · Maintain a clean and professional image. · To ensure the cleanliness of the facility, follow guidelines as outlined. · The associate must maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area at all times. Hazmat Training · This associate may be provided with Hazmat training to include general awareness, function specific, security awareness, security plan and safety training. Cross-training · Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions. Assist as required. Act as back up at times of absence or vacation. Job Requirements: High School diploma/GED or 2 years of relevant experience. Experience with MHE (Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, etc.). Ability to obtain Forklift Certification. Good communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Physical Demands: Frequent walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and use of hands for repetitive tasks. Exposure to moving mechanical equipment.## BD04123JD |
