Friday | 7:00 AM ? 3:30 PM Weekly Pay | Benefits Available JobsRUs.com is hiring a CNC Programmer Specialist for our client in Camarillo, CA. This is a full-time position supporting complex CNC programming, optimization, and production efficiency for precision machining and manufacturing processes. Position Summary: The CNC Programmer Specialist is responsible for programming and optimizing CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, and multitasking machines. This role supports production through accurate, efficient part programming, process development, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams. Key Responsibilities: Develop and modify complex CNC programs for parts, tools, and sheet metal using symbolic language and direct numerical control databases. Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and sequences for machining operations based on design specifications and control system limitations. Perform dimensional calculations and define machining operations for parts based on drawings, sketches, and technical data. Lead code tryouts and ensure program accuracy through validation, documentation, and communication. Prepare geometric layouts using CAD software or graphing techniques to define reference points and cutting paths. Recommend and implement improvements to existing programs and manufacturing processes for efficiency and accuracy. Analyze and interpret design or material changes to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure process reliability. Standardize and optimize tooling across machining platforms for both cutting and work holding. Use Esprit Edge to generate G-code for Okuma mill-turn and HAAS mills, and Mazatrol for CNC lathes (preferred). Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of trade school, AA degree, or formal CNC programming training preferred. Experience: Minimum of 7 years in CNC programming with direct machining experience across multiple platforms (5-axis, 4-axis, live tooling). Tools & Platforms: Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages, manufacturing software, cutting tool selection, and machining sequences. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to work cross-functionally. Other Requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods, use a computer, and occasionally stand and walk. Close vision required. |
