JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Functions:
This position carries out the procedures for moving hot parts through the bump straightening operation

Role and Responsibilities:

Operation of the bump straighteners for straightening steel shapes and hollows and recording operations
Ability to determine where to hit parts that are outside of the straightness tolerance in order to make them straight
Responsible for loading and unloading furnaces to support the bump straightening process
Use standard tolerances to determine tolerances to straightness that are dependent on length
Measure the straightness of parts
Responsible for reading and documenting completion
Operate overhead bridge cranes and jib cranes
Operator forklift and side loader.
Ability to work with external and internal customers.
Ability to read and react to verbal and non-verbal communication while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.

Education:

Additional Job Details: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED
A minimum of 3 years of material handling experience
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Must be able to obtain an in-house mobile equipment certification, including use of forklift and boom lift
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints.
Experience using a computer to enter and track data.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Physical Demands:

This is primarily an warehouse environment position.
Sitting, Standing and possibly heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs) may be required. Temperature conditions will vary with the outside environment. Ability to communicate effectively; both written and orally.
Strong PC skills MS Office, Excel
Experience with SAP
Must be able to obtain an in-house mobile equipment certification, including use of forklift and boom lift
