Weekly Pay! $45.00/Hour Shift Details:1st Day Starts at :08:00AM Day Ends at : 05:00PM Working Days: Monday - Friday DESCRIPTION: Position Description: The Prevailing Wages Payroll Specialist will work with prime and subcontractors to ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements. Keeping abreast of Federal and State laws and other relevant information including Davis-Bacon and Related Act (DBRA), Federal Rate tables, etc. Will also be responsible for ensuring complete understanding and full administration of ?Bona-Fide? fringe benefits under DBRA, including life insurance, health insurance, pension, vacation, etc. Reviews certified payrolls and appropriately addresses delinquent certified payrolls. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors or subcontractors on IRA-funded projects receive wages that meet or exceed the prevailing rates determined by the Department of Labor, in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit certified payroll reports to relevant government agencies, calculate payments and ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain comprehensive records of payroll data, including employee information, wage rates, and job classifications. Audit Support: Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and maintaining organized payroll records. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure understanding and adherence to prevailing wage requirements. Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in prevailing wage laws and regulations, including those specific to IRA projects, and implement necessary updates to compliance processes. Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required. Qualifications: Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, business administration, or a payroll related field. Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in prevailing wage payroll processing and certified payroll reporting. Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of prevailing wage laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act and IRA-specific regulations (required) Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and certified payroll systems; strong attention to detail; effective communication skills. Must be proficient in Excel - Assessment Score Required- VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables ( specifically ). | |
