JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant for our client in Augusta, ME! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $76.92/Hour Hybrid with 2 days per week in Westbrook. 4-6 month assignment. Our client is seeking someone with corporate accounting experience. The Senior Revenue Accountant has a heavy focus on revenue accounting-based SAP responsibilities and ASC 606 accounting treatment determination and application. Experience accounting for customer contracts with multiple performance obligations fulfilled over varying durations of time is a plus. Experience with customer contract modification accounting is preferred. Experience with SAP is a plus, specifically SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR). The Senior Revenue Accountant performs a variety of revenue allocation accounting models, journal entries, analysis, reporting, reconciliation and other related financial activities. This role partners with commercial finance, marketing operations and legal to provide financial consulting, advice and support. This position compiles and analyzes revenue accounting information for financial statements and internal reports. The Senior Revenue Accountant develops revenue and other financial analyses, reports, and presentations. What You Will Be Doing: You will execute revenue accounting for global marketing programs both in Microsoft Excel and RAR. You will apply U.S. GAAP accounting expertise, esp. ASC 606 and ASC 842, to determine proper accounting for customer contract variations and modifications, and ensure RAR results are accurate. You will drive and support revenue accounting process improvements for gathering data, accounting and reporting. You will partner with commercial finance and marketing operations by providing financial business tools, dashboards and reports for timely decision-making. Consult with and advise business partners, ensuring business decisions are well supported from financial standpoint. You will support period-end close processes which may include reconciliation of internal accounts, comparing actual performance to latest financial outlook, preparing revenue and expense accruals and reviewing accuracy of revenue, gross margin and expense information. You will create and analyze revenue accounting information for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring that financial information is recorded and presented accurately. Support budgets and financial projections for financial statements from revenues to operating margins and key balance sheet items. You will develop various analyses, reports and presentations; performs ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling and special project support as needed. You will support development of financial models for business initiatives such as product launches, geographical expansion and proposed marketing programs. You will work with multiple systems for use in information retrieval and analyses. You will identify and implement processes and improvements in planning, analysis, reporting and monitoring of both financial and non-financial measures. Leverage information technology to automate, streamline and integrate processes. You will monitor internal control environment. Identify gaps in controls and support development of approaches to mitigate exposure. What You Need To Succeed: Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master?s degree or equivalent preferred. CPA license preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of public accounting experience preferred (preferably in a Big 4 firm serving publicly-listed multi-national clients). SAP experience preferred. ASC 606 experience preferred. Microsoft Excel experience required. Analytical skills. Detail oriented. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong knowledge of data, databases and data mining and manipulation, if applicable. Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office. | |
