Job Title: QA/QC Support Specialist Location: Brooklyn, NY 11217 Schedule: Hybrid ? 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Hours: 8:00 AM ? 4:30 PM Pay Range: $42 ? $47 per hour Position Overview Our client?s Electric eGIS team is seeking a QA/QC Support Specialist to assist with the transition from legacy mapping systems to ArcFM, Schneider?s advanced GIS mapping platform. The ideal candidate will have strong GIS experience, technical proficiency, and a background in data validation within a utility environment. Key Responsibilities Perform multiple spatial and attribute queries to validate the accuracy of legacy mapping data migrated to Esri systems. Review and verify land base symmetry, structure connectivity, and cable connectivity for integrity and completeness. Check and update attribute data for all linear and point features related to electric and gas components. Conduct map symbology updates and provide visual mapping solutions as needed. Execute system testing to ensure full functionality of the new ArcFM mapping product. Maintain organized project tracking through Excel and related data management tools. Prioritize data tasks, manage review timelines, and assist with other eGIS projects as required. Qualifications Bachelor?s degree required (GIS, Geography, Engineering, or related field preferred). Minimum 2 years of experience using Esri ArcMap or similar GIS software. Proficient in MXD building, spatial queries, and spatial analysis. Experience working in a utility environment (Electric/Gas) is preferred. Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Self-starter with high motivation, attention to detail, integrity, and initiative. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities. Expected Results Gain working knowledge of the eGIS project and mapping systems. Develop an understanding of company mapping processes, documentation standards, and software tools. Build the ability to interpret and analyze various electrical and gas maps accurately and efficiently. | |
