About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) Specialist to join our Digital & IT team. The ideal candidate will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP FICO and Project Systems, ensuring SAP solutions are optimized, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. This position plays a key role in implementing and maintaining SAP ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA systems, supporting business processes across multiple functions, and driving continuous improvement within our SAP Center of Excellence (CoE).

A background in manufacturing and deep SAP configuration experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the SAP FICO subject matter expert, providing technical and functional guidance across Finance, Controlling, and related modules.

Gather and analyze business requirements through interviews, workshops, and process mapping to deliver effective SAP solutions.

Translate complex business needs into functional specifications, configuration, and design documentation.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and SAP development teams to implement solutions that meet business goals.

Lead or support full SAP implementation lifecycles, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live optimization.

Integrate FICO processes with cross-functional modules such as Production Planning and Procurement.

Maintain alignment with the Parker Meggitt SAP global template, ensuring consistency across business units.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and system performance.

Provide technical expertise and mentorship within the SAP CoE.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, accounting standards, and data protection requirements (e.g., DFARS, ITAR).

Deliver after-hours support and travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of SAP full-cycle implementation experience in Financial Accounting, Controlling, and Management Accounting.

Proven experience configuring and supporting SAP ECC or S/4HANA FICO modules.

Strong understanding of RICEFW, BAPI, and system integration points.

Experience working in customized SAP environments and SAP template-based implementations.

Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, from end users to executives.

Knowledge of accounting standards, compliance regulations, and system security best practices.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook).
