Competitive pay 401(k) with company options Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Temp-to-perm opportunity in just 45 days Stable work environment in the medical manufacturing industry Opportunities to grow your skills and advance your career Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Assembler 3 Instrument Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex medical instruments in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of full instrument build processes, the ability to work from detailed drawings and work instructions, and the skill to identify and resolve assembly-related issues while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This is a hands-on position for a skilled assembler who can work independently, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist with training and mentoring other team members. Key Responsibilities Assemble, integrate, and understand full instrument builds, including multiple product lines Perform complex mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations, including: Wiring and cable harnessing Component installation Hand soldering Fitting and alignment of assemblies and subassemblies Integrate sub-assemblies into completed instruments Perform basic component and module testing; analyze results to determine pass/fail status Conduct in-process quality inspections per specifications and GMP requirements Disassemble, rework, modify, reassemble, and test assemblies as required Troubleshoot and repair moderately complex mechanical or assembly issues Maintain accurate device history records, including serial numbers and tooling documentation Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements Support training and mentoring of other associates as needed Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams Perform standard material handling of raw materials and sub-assemblies Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping standards Follow all safety, quality, and GMP policies and procedures Work overtime as required to meet business needs Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of manufacturing experience OR Associates degree (technical field) plus 1 year of manufacturing experience Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment is required Skills and Competencies: Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work instructions Proficient with mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, measuring devices, etc.) Experience holding tight tolerances to blueprint specifications Ability to manage multiple production orders and changing priorities Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Demonstrated leadership capability; able to mentor and support other associates Strong commitment to Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles Effective teamwork and communication skills Ability to work within defined quality systems and procedures Technical and Functional Skills: Proficient in English (reading, writing, and basic math required) Basic computer skills, including use of Windows-based systems Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment Comfortable in a repetitive work environment Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday Work Environment: This role is performed in a manufacturing setting that requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and consistent focus on safety and cleanliness.## BD04123JD | |
