Pay Rate: $24.18/hour Benefits Weekly Pay 401(k) Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Temp-to-perm opportunity after 45 days Job Overview The Instrument Test Technician I is responsible for the assembly, system-level testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification of moderately complex medical instruments in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings, and experience analyzing test data to determine instrument performance and compliance with quality standards. Must-Have Requirements Candidates must meet all requirements below to be considered: High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of manufacturing, testing, or technical assembly experience OR an Associates Degree (technical field) with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar) Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions Hands-on experience performing functional and release testing on moderately complex instruments or equipment Demonstrated ability to analyze test results and data to determine pass/fail criteria Proven experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, motion, or optical system issues Strong understanding of quality systems, GMP, and documentation requirements Ability to use mechanical tools and precision measurement devices (torque drivers, gauges, calipers, etc.) Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and technical comprehension required) Basic computer skills and experience working in a Windows-based environment Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on technical work Willingness and ability to work overtime as required Key Responsibilities Build, integrate, and test complete medical instruments using blueprints, drawings, and specifications Perform functional, performance, and release testing on assigned instruments Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to verify correct assembly and system operation Analyze test data and determine corrective actions for non-conforming instruments Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, or system-level failures Optimize system performance including precision movement, alignment, calibration, and light systems Perform rework and adjustments while maintaining tight tolerances Identify defects and support root cause analysis and process improvements Process and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs) Accurately complete test documentation and device history records Interface with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing as needed Maintain compliance with GMP, safety, and housekeeping standards Technical Skills Advanced blueprint and schematic interpretation Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving Experience working with precision instruments and test equipment Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Work Environment Medical manufacturing/warehouse environment Standing, bending, lifting, and material handling required This role is not entry-level.
