Material Handler III Pay Rate: $30/hour Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Location: San Jose, CA 95035 Benefits: 401k Health, Dental, Vision Insurance after 90 days Weekly Pay every friday Temp to permanent possibility Overview We are seeking an experienced Material Handler III to join our distribution center team. This role involves both administrative and physical duties related to manufacturing, packaging, shipping, receiving, staging, and inventory movement of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics driven environment. Key Responsibilities Pallet/Case Picking Process customer orders, including scanning barcodes, picking, labeling, and packing boxes. Pick, pack, and process orders using RF technology. Maintain work areas according to SOP and work instructions. Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Complete required RF device training. Verify accuracy and ensure proper shipment packaging. Pallet Building Palletize orders, including scanning, retrieving, and stacking completed orders. Re-palletize products for shipment. Perform dock manifest duties, including scanning pallets and operating shrink-wrap equipment. Transport pallets using material handling equipment (MHE) as needed. Verify accuracy and ensure proper packaging. Inbound / Outbound / Inventory Movement Use ERP/WMS systems for locating, storing, and moving materials. Prepare goods and documentation for domestic and international shipments. Load/unload inbound and outbound shipments using WMS tools. Ensure safe loading/unloading practices to prevent damage. Replenish pick locations and retrieve materials as needed. Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety protocols. Train and perform tasks in SAP as required. Maintain C2C training status. Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Safely operate designated MHE, including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter-Balance, and Dock Stockers. Report equipment damage or maintenance needs immediately. Maintain equipment certification. Safety & Security Follow all safety rules and maintain safe working conditions. Report injuries, hazards, unsafe behavior, or suspicious activity immediately. Assist in maintaining warehouse security. Quality, Sanitation & Housekeeping Support organizational quality goals. Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional work environment. Follow facility sanitation guidelines. Cross-Training Learn duties of other warehouse roles and assist as needed. Serve as backup during absences or vacations. Requirements High School diploma, GED, or 3+ years of relevant experience. Minimum 5 years of related material handling or warehouse experience. Forklift Certification required. Experience operating MHE (Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance, Dock Stocker). Ability to interpret distribution documents. Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Ability to use RF scanners and/or voice-directed systems. Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills. Ability to work near moving mechanical equipment. Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical Demands Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, and twisting. Frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions including typing, picking, and handling materials. Occasional climbing. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in certain areas.
