Weekly Pay! 6 Month Contract Pay Rate - $32.50/hr 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Job Description We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to join the Corporate Communications Team focused on telling stories across social media that showcase the organization serving its patients, colleagues and communities. Reporting to the Communications Manager of Social Media, the Social Media Specialist will support enterprise-wide social media strategy by discovering, developing and distributing engaging content for branded social media accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience writing brand-focused social copy and producing videos and imagery that is optimized for a multitude of social environments. We are looking for a compelling and creative writer with a strong grasp of AP Style, deep knowledge of social-first content types, and proficiency in social media trends and best practices. This role entails excellent communications skills with a talent for telling stories for multiple audiences with flair, passion and skill. General Responsibilities · Collaborate with the Communications Manager of Social Media and other corporate stakeholders to identify and prioritize effective social media content creation and storytelling opportunities. · Write clear, concise and impactful social media posts, graphic copy, captions and video scripts. · Curate, post, edit and monitor social media posts in alignment with corporate communications editorial calendar and brand objectives. · Responsible for regular scheduling and posting across corporate social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. · Partner with creative design, photo and video team on visual execution of social media content. · Implement social media brand storytelling through colleague, expert, patient and partner testimonials. · Participate in social media conversations to encourage dialogue and build brand awareness. · Brainstorm and support organic social media campaigns to support reputation strategy, PR initiatives and priority colleague and health observances. Create bridge tools for affiliate hospitals and business lines to support campaigns as needed. · Work closely with PR, marketing, consumer content, internal communications and HR to ensure cross-functional synergy of digital and traditional communications channels. · Develop reports showcasing brand social channel performance using internal and industry benchmarks and KPIs. Provide recommendations for improvements. · Support monitoring of social media platforms in the event of crisis communications events, including disaster response. Use professional judgment and discretion in alignment with organization?s community guidelines, escalating to manager proactively as appropriate. Qualifications Bachelor?s degree required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Multimedia Content, or other relevant area of formal academic training. 2-3 years of experience in social media interfacing roles, including public relations, communications, journalism, agency or account management, content strategy, and /or content marketing. Background in healthcare is preferred but not required; candidates with experience in healthcare communications or familiarity with industry trends will be considered a plus. Exceptional AP writing and editing skills with proven expertise in using different styles and voice to reflect the nature of the individual, audience and message. Eye for details like grammar, punctuation and tone. Minimum of 2 years of professional writing experience (writing samples will be requested if selected for interview). Experience using social media tools for communications or marketing; familiarity with Meta Business Suite and social media publishing and management tools. Understanding of social media KPIs and interpreting metrics to enhance user engagement, content optimization and drive performance. Proven blend of editorial/storytelling skills and technical know-how. Strong interpersonal skills with proven track record of cross-group collaboration. Motivated, creative, self-directed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PowerPoint. Video, audio, photo editing software knowledge a plus. | |
