About the Role We?re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support important accounting and financial reporting work for a temporary assignment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data, improving processes, and ensuring accuracy in reporting. You?ll collaborate with a professional team and play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls. What You?ll Be Doing Prepare and review financial reports, including annual and regulatory reports Perform detailed financial analysis and track key accounting activities Support fund accounting and ensure accuracy within automated financial systems Reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts and resolve discrepancies Assist with budget preparation, calculations, and financial reviews Ensure financial statements comply with U.S. GAAP standards Prepare and review invoices, financial statements, and supporting reports Review work prepared by others to ensure accuracy and completeness Recommend and help implement improvements to accounting processes and controls Assist with adopting new or updated accounting standards What We?re Looking For 3?5 years of accounting experience Experience in government, nonprofit, or a related environment preferred Familiarity with financial reporting, audits, and reconciliations Experience with AFMS and multi-year projects is a plus CPA preferred, but not required Why You?ll Like This Role Competitive hourly pay Short-term commitment with potential to extend Opportunity to apply your expertise in a meaningful, high-impact role Professional, collaborative work environment | |
